The increasing complexity of consumption data processing and the corresponding regular exchange of data is forcing all parties involved in the process (producers, distributors, traders/suppliers, meter operators, facility network operators) to streamline their business processes. As a result, cost reduction is no longer the only reason for outsourcing operational services to third parties. Strategic or operational considerations play a role as well. In particular, the improvement of security measures, the minimization of risks as well as the continuous optimization of complex processes are also key factors. Robotron offers a practice-oriented modular service catalog that can be easily adapted to the customer's specific situation. The service is provided regardless of where the applications are located. Furthermore, it is independent of whether the customer's departments want to use the systems via an application service providing solution (ASP) or whether Robotron handles the business process tasks entirely.
Customized Operating Services
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
As an operating service provider, Robotron supplies customers with the required system software (Oracle, Microsoft), basic infrastructure and the respective Robotron application including all administrative tasks in the data center. If the provision of the applications in the customer's data center is preferred, the service handover points are defined as part of the service transition.
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Housing in Third-Party Data Center
Robotron provides the hardware incl. system management in the customer's data center. Realization in the Oracle-Cloud or in Microsoft Azure is possible as well.
Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
PaaS is a solution for developing, testing, using and managing individual applications in the cloud.
This service is particularly suitable for development and test environments as well as pilot systems (e.g. gateway administration and external market participant EMP). No purchase of the application software (license and software maintenance) is required and the provision is limited in time.
A Proof of Concept (PoC) with Oracle hardware can be mentioned as an example.
PaaS can be implemented in the Robotron data center, in Microsoft Azure or in the Oracle Cloud.
Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)
Robotron provides the necessary basic infrastructure as a service (connectivity, network, hardware, virtualization, operating system, monitoring, backup). The application software is managed by the customers themselves.
The operation of Oracle Engineered Systems , including Robotron's services and support, can be mentioned here as an example.
Full Service Operation (BPaaS)
Robotron handles complex sub-areas or the entire tasks of energy data management. The customer receives the demanded results (load curves), schedules, forecasts, billing preparations, evaluations, etc.).
