Use of AI in collection management with robotron*Daphne

Public administration

The use of artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly widespread in the cultural sector. AI-supported tools can save users valuable time, especially when it comes to basic data collection.

The robotron*Daphne collection management system also relies on the use of AI technologies and will expand this in the future. Currently, robotron*Daphne offers AI-supported searches for objects and media via similarity vectors. This uses AI to recognise the representative content of an image, enabling an AI-controlled comparison between images. In addition, all text fields displayed in the robotron*Daphne-MultimediaGuide use AI-supported translations of texts. This eliminates the need to copy text passages into translation tools. The corresponding texts can be edited directly in the input mask. The automatic generation of texts for the robotron*Daphne-MultimediaGuide, which are to be output for specific target groups, is also planned.

The functionalities are already fully integrated into the product and were rolled out with release 2.9. The project team is currently working on automatic transcription and keyword generation to make object and media management even easier for users in the future.
