Halle (Saale)/Dresden, November 14, 2023 - IT service provider GISA and energy market software specialist Robotron Datenbank-Software GmbH are expanding their long-standing strategic partnership. In future, the two central German IT specialists will also work together beyond smart metering services.
The focus of the cooperation is the further development of the Smart Energy Platform for grid and metering point operators. This serves as the basis for all intelligent, digital use cases in the energy industry. In addition to gateway administration, big data management of energy data and the automation of all control and market processes, the platform will offer joint customers additional added value in future. This includes the provision of solutions for the smartification of grids, the digitalization of the energy transition and IoT applications in the context of smart energy.
A new partnership agreement forms the basis for customers to benefit from all developments of both companies in synergy. "We are proud to continue our long-standing partnership with Robotron and to deepen our cooperation in order to provide our customers in the energy industry with smart IT solutions for current and future challenges," says GISA CEO Heino Feige.

To date, GISA and Robotron have worked together successfully, particularly in smart metering, and have driven forward the rollout of intelligent metering systems. They now support more than 250,000 smart meter gateways in a stable and secure IT service model for their joint customers.
All functions of the software and technology solution were developed by Robotron Datenbank-Software GmbH. GISA acts as implementation partner and ensures the secure cloud operation of the IT systems in its own data center.
